Get EVERYONE involved! Here's some ideas:

  • Involve your church
    • Create a drop off station for supplies in your church building. Similar to a food pantry or school supply drive - challenge your church family to bring in supplies from the list. You could even decide to focus on one area like hygiene products or medical supplies. Have it out several Sundays and make sure to promote it! We have a page on our website where you can download and print a flyer to give out or use a slide on your screens during the service.
  • Involve your family
    • This section is near and dear to ICOM's heart. Involving your immediate family is so impactful for your children, parents, and/or siblings. The home is the first line of knowledge for many families and sharing the needs of others with your family is crucial for both their worldview and spiritual growth. Consider skipping eating out once a week and spending some extra time in prayer and conversation for the people of Ukraine and other wartorn areas. Use the money you would have eaten out with to buy supplies to donate.
  • Involve your friends/small group/Sunday School Class
    • If the church isn't able to do something on a large scale, you can still take part. Help organize something for your circle to work towards. It could be a goal of monetary donations that one person goes and buys things OR a goal of X amount of supplies donated from your group. You could even let other groups/classes in your church or friend groups know what you're doing to help you reach your goal!
  • Involve your youth
    • Incorporate this effort into your youth group and children's church settings. Break it down so it's on their level of understanding (especially for the littles!) but use this as a way to broaden their worldview. This is a great way for students and kids to see more outside their own life and to start to build the heart for the Kingdom of God!

Listen to the special podcast episode about the dreams behind this effort!

This episode is all about people coming together to be the hands and feet of Christ to those suffering. Guests from Mulberry International, I.D.E.S., and ICOM join Emily and Ricky as we discuss the upcoming project being held at ICOM 2025 of filling a 40-foot container (or more!) of supplies that will be sent to Ukraine to aid in the relief efforts of the war that continues there. We are very excited to be hosting this group today and we hope you come away with ideas and a plan on how you could get your church, college, family and friends involved. You won’t want to miss the links in the show notes to learn more about this effort!
